Summer/Autumn 2021

The past year and the commencement of 2021 as been nothing short of challenging to most people in Australia.  Firstly, came the challenges of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Then just as our Village started to recommence the social calendar, COVID's re-emergence at the end of 2020 adjusted how many of us celebrated Christmas and put another stop to the social calendar.  Then came the torrential rainfall which comes and goes disrupting potential plans.  Here in the Village however, we have managed to stay safe, secure and healthy to date.  Residents have taken each situation in their stride with many residents helping each other with shopping for essential items and keeping an eye out for one another. 

With all the rainfall we have experienced and then the heat, our stunning gardens are hard to keep up with as their growth rate, but our amazing garden crew have it under control and our gardens remain stunning.  Our gardens truely assisted our residents with their mental and emotional wellbeing through isolation.   

With restrictions being eased, we are now looking forward to some normality of Village life with the events having been cancelled at the beginning of the year now starting to be rescheduled into the Village calendar for the year to come.  Some of these events include fashion parades, pottery classes, cooking classes, bus trips, music appreciation and movie afternoons.
