Kylie Wade-Ferrell | General Manager

Greetings and welcome to the website of the Blue Mountains Retirement Village.

I am Kylie Wade-Ferrell, the General Manager of this not-for-profit retirement community located in the heart of the beautiful Blue Mountains. With the help of my dedicated staff and our volunteer Board of Directors, I thoroughly enjoy my role in this welcoming village.

Our community was originally formed by members of the local area, and to this day we pride ourselves on being a small and tightly knit neighbourhood. We take great pleasure in knowing all of our residents personally, and we strive to create a safe and secure environment where everyone feels welcome.

Our company has been operating since December 1968, and we have a highly experienced and dedicated Management Board with many volunteer Directors serving for over 20 years. We are always available to lend a helping hand, and our staff are on duty from Monday to Friday for seven hours a day. I am available 24/7 during weekdays, and our Board members take care of any emergency calls over the weekends.

Our administrative, maintenance, and ground staff work tirelessly to ensure that the village runs smoothly on a daily basis, with everyone working together to keep things rolling.

We have a Fundraising Group that organises various social activities, and we regularly hold social events such as weekly cuppa and chat, weekly movie afternoon, monthly Happy Hour’providing opportunities for those who wish to take part in an active social life.
